Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili is scheduled to visit Azerbaijani tomorrow to further strengthen political ties and to encourage cultural relations.
In additional to the talks on political, economic and trade issues, the encouragement of cultural relations will be one of the top priorities of the visit,” the administration of the president of Georgia says.

Zurabishvili, the first female president of Georgia, has already visited Belgium, France and Germany.
President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili will deliver her annual speech at the Parliament on 6 March, First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament Tamar Chugoshvili said.
The presidents of Georgia and France have held a meeting at Elysee Palace and signed a document on furthering French-Georgian cooperation. The parties discussed the improvement of Georgia-France bilateral relationships and increasing French support for Georgia in international organizations.

Zurabishvili stated that the two countries started a new, independent life together after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has met with Azerbaijani Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva in Baku to discuss cultural issues. Zurabishvili told Aliyeva that her initiative to put Georgian tolerance on the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list will benefit the whole region, as tolerance “is of a Caucasian character.”
Georgian President has stated in Armenia that it is “very sad” that delegations from Nagorno-Karabakh visit the two occupied regions of Georgia, Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia), and discuss these two conflicts as if they are of a similar nature.
Since 1995 Georgia and Azerbaijan have agreed on 66 per cent of the state border between the two countries, while a special commission composed of state officials from both nations continue work to achieve an agreement on the remaining 34 per cent.
