Georgian police have detained two foreign nationals for the possession of 1,557 pills of ecstasy.
The police have not released information pertaining to the the countries of origin of the detainees.
1,200 pills of the drugs were confiscated from M.B., while A.J. had 297 pills of the same drug in his rented flat,” the ministry reported.
The crime is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison of life sentence.
The Georgian Interior Ministry has charged 77 individuals of smuggling drugs into Georgia in between January and July 2019.
