USAID signed an agreement with the Georgian Ministry of Infrastructure today to carry out six projects in four municipalities.
Zugdidi, Tsalenjikha, Khashuri and Kareli municipalities will benefit from new water supply networks, drainage canals and protective gabions.
The construction and rehabilitation of water supply systems and provision of clean water to the population is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The memorandum also touched on future cooperation between the parties, which includes financing of other infrastructure projects in the target regions.
