240 individuals were hospitalised after yesterday’s rally in Tbilisi, many of them with minor injuries, 80 were law enforcers, Deputy Health Minister Zaza Bokhua stated earlier today while visiting patients at the Ingorokva Clinic in Tbilisi.
46 patients were brought to the Ingorokva Clinic. 35 have already been discharged, 11 are being treated,” Bokua said.
Bokhua stated that as of now 102 individuals remain in hospitals, while others have been discharged.
He confirmed that there were two cases of individuals losing eyesight in one of their eyes.
General trauma, bruises and damages to the face and eyes were observed in most cases, Bokhua said.
A rally triggered by the presence of Russian MPs in the Georgian parliament was dispersed by police after demonstrators ignored the appeal of the Interior Ministry to obey law enforcers and decided to break into the parliament building.
