Heavy rainfall affects Tbilisi, some regions [VIDEO]

Saturday's heavy wind and rain have affected some of the districts in Tbilisi, as well as other regions of Georgia.
In Tbilisi, the districts of Didube-Chughureti and Vake-Saburtalo suffered most.

Traffic movement was temporarily restricted at some of the streets in the capital Tbilisi due to Saturday’s heavy rain.
In particular, restrictions were imposed on all types of vehicles travelling from Heroes’ Square to Tamarashvili in Vere Gorge. However, the restrictions have been already lifted.

Heavy rain also affected eastern Georgian region of Shida Kartli, flooding the streets and ground floors of the region’s population.

The Emergency Management Centre has received about 25 calls from Tbilisi and 20 calls from Shida Kartli so far.
The rescue teams have been sent to all of the locations both and the relevant works are underway to solve the issue.
