Georgia’s Black Sea town of Batumi hosted a night marathon yesterday evening, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Known as the Great Batumi Night Race, the competition engaged thousands of participants from dozens of countries, including Germany, Spain and England.

The Head of the Adjara Government Tornike Rizhvadze, who was among the participants, spoke of importance of the marathon.
This is an important race not only because it promotes healthy lifestyle, but it also boosts tourism potential of Batumi”, Rizhvadze said.
