A fire that broke out in forests in Ozurgeti, in Georgia's western region of Guria late last night has been extinguished.
The Emergency Management Service said the fire affected some 30ha in the village of Shemokmedi.
The service also warned the population to avoid burning remains on agricultural lands, which often leads to massive fires.
The Interior Ministry’s Emergency Management Service calls on all citizens to be careful and responsible and not to cause any further threat to nearby populated areas, fields and forests,” the service said.
The Emergency Management Service released a video on their official Facebook page aimed to raise public awareness.

A fire has broken out in forests in Ozurgeti, in Georgia's western region of Guria late last night, the local city hall reported.
The fire had reportedly spread across some 15ha in the village of Vakijvari.
Some 70 firefighters are trying to deal with the fire and to prevent its further escalation.
The Emergency Management Service recently stated that the fire has been contained.
Firefighters will continue battling the fire throughout the night to fully extinguish it.
