Firefighters have been dispatched to combat "strong fires" in Razmati Valley, located in central Georgia's Shida Kartli region, with helicopters involved in efforts.
The Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has reported receiving calls about "powerful smoke" and "open fire" in the valley before emergency teams responded to the situation.
The service said fire and rescue groups from Gori Municipality had been dispatched and were assisted by teams mobilised from other municipalities and regions.
Two helicopters of border police were also sent to assist in the firefighting efforts, with fires affecting areas with coniferous tree cover in the valley.
The latest development follows fires in two other locations over the weekend. Firefighters successfully put out fires in the Akhalisopeli forest - located in the Kvareli Municipality in Georgia's east - and near the Sakavre village in central Georgia's Gori Municipality on Sunday.
