Presidential elections: CEC announces 46,74% turnout

The Central Election Commission of Georgia has announced 46,74 percent turnout for eligible voters during the 2018 Presidential Elections in the country.

The election body revealed 1,637,956 citizens had cast their vote in the process that concluded at 8pm local time, when polling stations were closed.

The first official results of the election will be announced by the CEC around 2am local time, spokesperson Ana Mikeladze told reporters.

Mikeladze said the counting of votes was ongoing at stations across the country.

Results from the Elections can be seen live - as they are announced in stages by the CEC - on Agenda.ge interactive map. The map enables visitors to select turnout statistics and voting results based on administrative districts throughout Georgia.

Results from exit polls - conducted by companies commissioned by participating parties - were released earlier today.
