Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze use the UN tribune to reach out to the world about the problems Georgia is trying to address currently, as well as plans for the future development of the country.
“In the speech at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly PM Bakhtadze will emphasise the problems connected to the Russian occupation as well as Georgia’s peaceful policy and government vision for the further development of the country,” Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani told journalists today, the MFA reports.
He said PM Bakhtadze will hold high level meetings with UN officials and the heads of governments participating in the assembly.
“It is very important for us to use this opportunity to explain our problems, our policy and peaceful initiatives, as well as the steps we are making for the stable democratic and economic development of the country,” Zalkaliani said.
PM Bakhtadze will deliver a speech to participants of the 73rd General Debate at a session of the UN General Assembly on September 27 and attend the opening ceremony of the session as well.
