Georgia is hosting the United Nations (UN) Permanent Representatives from Congo, Saint Vincent, Grenadines, Sri Lanka, Uruguay, Benin, Namibia, Saint Lucia, and Zambia.
The ambassadors have already met with the Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze.
Discussions during the meeting focused on issues relating to Georgia’s foreign policy priorities, its reform agenda and the human rights and security situation in the country’s occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) regions.

The minister thanked the ambassadors for their visit to Georgia and for their support in international formats.
The ambassadors arrived in Georgia on May 5 and have already met with President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze.
The UN permanent representatives visited the village of Khurvaleti at the occupation line with breakaway Tskhinvali on May 8, spoke with locals and stated that the humanitarian and social situation on the ground was grave.
The permanent representatives are scheduled to leave Georgia on May 12.
