Georgian passport takes five steps forward in international rating

The Georgian passport has taken five steps forward and now ranks 48th in international the passport index rating published by Henley & Partners.

The rating shows that in 2018 Georgians can visit 112 countries without visas or with simplified procedures.

In previous years Georgia ranked 53rd (2017) and 68th place in 2016.

The regulation lifting visa requirements for Georgians entered into on March 28  last year.

The Henley Passport Index is a ranking of all passports of the world according to the number of countries their holders can travel to visa-free. The ranking is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
