The call centre service of the Patrol Police will become available in the regions of Georgia after Tbilisi.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has finished training call centre operators throughout the country meaning citizens in different regions will be able to contact the police service more effectively.

"The MIA continues to reform the patrol police which involves the development of a society-oriented police service. At the latest stage of reform, the call center 2 41 42 42 was set up on May 1st and already provides information and services to the public. To address challenges uncovered as a result of a two month study, a special programme has been launched to improve the professional skills of patrol police workers in terms of service, effective communication, working with databases and personal data specifics,” the MIA said today.

The Patrol Police is responsible for preventing and responding to crimes and administrative offences.
