The National Environmental Agency of Georgia has forecast that the temperature will be relatively lower in Western Georgia and may reach a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius in the upcoming days.
In Tbilisi the highest temperature over the next few days is forecast at 40 degrees Celsius.
The National Center for Disease Control has urged everyone to keep cool and hydrated during the day as well as to avoid being exposed to direct sun especially in the cases of children, elderly and people with chronic diseases.
Somewhat cooler weather is forecasted after July 4 but specialists do not forecast a rapid decrease in temperature.
