Interior Ministry seizes large amount of heroin in Tbilisi

An Azerbaijani citizen has been arrested for carrying 324.93 grams of heroin divided into 4 packages inside his shoe heels.
The accused citizen was arrested in Phonichala district of Tbilisi. His offence is punishable by imprisonment of eight to twenty years.
An investigation has started into the illegal purchase and possession of a large amount of drugs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said today.
The Interior Ministry continues its "uncompromising fight” against drug trafficking in cooperation with the Prosecutors Office, reads the statement by the ministry.
