Georgian, Armenian PMs discuss economic cooperation

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met with his Armenian counterpart, Karen Karapetyan, in Tbilisi today.

The visit is the Armenian Prime MInister’s first official state visit to Georgia since his election in 2016.

During their meeting, the parties discussed the further development of trade, economic, transport, energy and tourism cooperation.

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met with his Armenian counterpart, Karen Karapetyan, in Tbilisi today.

Prime Minister Kvirikashvili said the mutual commitment to intensify trade, economic, and investment relations and deepen regional integration will bring not only economic but also political stability to the region.

Armenia is a country with whom we share centuries-old traditions. 2017 is a significant year in our modern history as we celebrate 25 years of diplomatic cooperation”, Kvirikashvili said.
Armenia will hold parliamentary elections on April 2. Confident that the elections will be carried out in a democratic manner, Kvirikashvili believes Armenia will make another step towards further development.
We have come here in the spirit of brotherhood and for constructive business relations, and I am convinced that our negotiations will result in a new stimulus for utilizing the potential of our relations. We want to create an environment for business to engage in various projects", Armenian PM said.

Both PMs stressed the importance of peace and stability in the region of the South Caucasus.
