The Georgian National Team have become the European champions among small federations in bridge.

The 10th European Small Federation Games in the mental sport, hosted by Monte-Carlo, Monaco, was played among 14 nations, the European Bridge League said.

Team Georgia - consisting of George Abzianidze, Revaz Beriashvili, David Chechelashvili, Gocha Goshadze, Giorgi Uchava – led the tournament from day one and given their high ranking, their victory was assured regardless of the results of the final round, which they won.

The silver medal went to Lithuania and the bronze medal to Ukraine.

This was not the first time Georgians achieved a major success in bridge.
