WineWeekend event in Netherlands showcases 12 Georgian wines

Georgia’s stand ‘Taste of Georgia’’ was represented at the annual WineWeekend event in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, where Georgian wines were showcased.
With the support of the Georgian National Wine Agency six Georgian wine companies represented 12 wine varieties at the event in Rijswijk.
WineWeekend is considered the largest wine tasting event in the Netherlands, where this year about 50 wine companies participated from all over the world.
Within the WineWeekend event two presentation-seminars were held, titled ‘Amber Wines from Georgia’, which was attended by wine professionals.
As the Georgian National Wine Agency reported, Dutch wine professionals are interested in Georgian wines. Following this interest the agency signed an agreement with wine importer company Saperavi Wine Agency this year, which supports Georgian wine imports to the Netherlands.
Nine Georgian wine companies participated at one of the largest wine fairs in Brussels, Belgium – Megavino 2017.
