Georgia, Latvia united by common European aspirations

Agreement between Georgian and Latvian Interior Ministries on European aspiration was signed today in Tbilisi that reflects the desire of both countries to strengthen cooperation in regards of the European integration process.

Meanwhile, Georgian and Latvian Law enforcers will share experiences and best practices with each other in the fields of reform implementation and fight against organised crime.

Georgia’s Interior Minister Giorgi Mghebrishvili thanked his Latvian counterpart Richard Kozlowski for supporting Georgia’s Euro-integration and visaliberalisation processes.

We appreciate Latvia’s support for Georgia’s aspirations – to become a member of European and Euro-Atlantic community. Support from European Union member countries plays a big role in Georgia’s Euro-integration process,” said Mghebrishvili.

The Latvian Minister visited Georgia in order to attend the celebration of Police Day in the country.
