Massive drug bust: Georgian police seize almost 200kg of heroin

Georgian police have uncovered almost 200kg of drugs hidden inside a secret compartment in a cargo container travelling through Georgia on the back of a truck.
Police made the discovery yesterday while searching a large truck in Batumi port, in western Georgia.
Police alleged that the seized drugs contained heroin and were en route to another country via Georgia.
The drugs were found in a secret cache hidden inside the container.

Police said the drugs were being transported internationally through Georgia. Authorities did not specify which country the drugs came from or were it was headed.
Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said the search uncovered 356 packages of drugs from the trailer cache. Each package weighted about 600g and the total weight was about 178kg.
