Georgian ports closed for navigation due to storm (VIDEO)

Georgian all three ports have been closed for navigation due to storm and bad weather, Georgia’s Maritime Transport Agency stated today. 

The Agency did not specify when the sea ports of western Batumi, Poti and Kulevi are opened for ships. 

As the agency stressed it was an ordinary procedure and there was nothing alarming in the temporal closure. 

The video by the Facebook page Batumi reflects the current situation at the Black Sea coast. 

The Maritime Transport Agency ensures safe movement of vessels on the Black Sea day and night. In case of bad weather and storm threats ports are closed, it is an ordinary procedure.” 
In case of the decrease in wind speed we permit small-scaled ships into the ports,” the Agency told IPN. 

Four-five magnitude storms are forecast at the Black Sea coast today. 

As reported waves will intensify in the evening and there will be five-magnitude storm at night. 

According to the National Agency of Environment weather will improve in the seaside regions of Georgia from Thursday.
