A Georgian insurance firm is promising to fully compensate every one of its clients who were victims of the devastating Tbilisi flood, which damaged properties, personal belongings and affected the health of many.
More than 100 calls have been made to GPI Holding, one of the leading insurance companies in Georgia, by clients reporting their loss. GPI Holding said most claims related to property, health or car damage, and estimated the loss exceeded 500,000 GEL.
The insurance firm, a member of Vienna Insurance Group, announced it would compensate 100 percent of the costs facing their insured clients.
Hundreds of our insured people are at a loss as a result of the June 13 disaster. Mainly people are complaining about property and car damages. Most cars are useless in fact. Our Claims Service Group will continue to work to compensate every insured person until the end of this week,” said CEO of GPI Holding Paata Lomadze.
GPI Holding is encouraging its affected clients to contact them via the company’s hotline and report their loss. Since Saturday night’s disaster more than 100 people have phoned the hotline.
In general, members of Georgia’s business community have rallied together to donate a significant amount of funds to the victims of the Tbilisi flood.
