Batumi, a vibrant city in Georgia’s Black Sea coast, is welcoming the summer tourist season with a $130 million USD five-star hotel.
The Hilton Batumi hotel opened its doors today.
Located in central Batumi, the hotel has two buildings where one is hotel and the second is an apartment building. The complex boasts 23 floors and 247 rooms, the majority of which have balconies.
Today Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili attended the opening ceremony of the Hilton Batumi and said the coastal city had all the resources to become a "visit card” of Georgia.
"I am glad to celebrate a beginning of a very important project which is the opening of a five-star Hilton Hotel. This means that interest towards Batumi and Georgia has been increasing gradually.”
"We welcome such an important brand entrance to the Georgian market. This is a successful project which costs $130 million USD. I would like to congratulate the hotel owners and investors on the opening of the hotel and I wish to say thank you to them,” Garibashvili said.

At the same time Georgia’s Prime Minister announced the future opening of several five-star hotels in Batumi adding the Adjara region "has the potential to become the most successful region of Georgia”.
The Hilton Batumi hotel will operate as one of the city’s more premium hotels and has facilities to match; seven meeting rooms, a ballroom, a 24-hour business centre and an executive lounge. It has a corporate space that can cater for events or celebrations for up to 750 guests.
Additionally, the hotel has a spa and beauty area, fitness centre, an indoor pool and several restaurants offering Georgian and European dishes, and a sky bar that boasts magnificent views from the 20th floor of the hotel.
Globally, the Hilton brand has some 4,200 hotels in 76 countries.
