Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Friday held an introductory meeting with Ashot Smbatyan, the Armenian Ambassador to the country, to discuss the partnership between the two nations.
Smbatyan congratulated Kavelashvili on assuming office following elections in December, the Presidential Administration said.
The discussion focused on the “historically strong” friendship and partnership between the two countries, as well as prospects for further deepening the relations.
