The United Airports of Georgia on Monday said it had promoted the potential of the Tbilisi International Airport in the capital, Kutaisi Airport in the western hub city, and Batumi Airport in the Black Sea region of Adjara at Connect 2025, an annual international aviation forum held between Monday and Wednesday in Girona, Spain.

A delegation led by Director Irakli Karkashadze presented Georgia’s capabilities to forum attendees, with the 21st edition of the event featuring 820 delegates from 90 airlines and 190 airports across 62 countries.

The forum focused on current and future challenges in the air transport sector, with discussions also covering further development of airline and tourism sectors, as well as promotion of new market opportunities.

The airports body said the Georgian delegation would engage in B2B meetings both with airlines operating in the country and potential new partners, and was aiming to hold over 30 meetings with industry representatives during the three-day event to explore new routes and enhance existing services within Georgia’s airline market.

The UAG added participation in the event “strengthens Georgia’s position in the global airline market and fosters collaboration with new airlines and airports”.
