Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili on Tuesday congratulated Scott Bessent on being confirmed as the United States Secretary of the Treasury in a bipartisan vote.

In a social media post, Khutsishvili expressed his optimism regarding Bessent’s leadership during a “time of global economic challenges”.

The Minister also said he was looking forward to “furthering the partnership” between Georgia and the United States.

The US Senate confirmed billionaire investor Bessent on Monday to serve as President Donald Trump’s Treasury Secretary.
