Tea Akhvlediani, the Georgian State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, on Friday met with representatives of the Council of National Minorities under the Public Defender’s Office to discuss achievements and progress within priority areas of the state strategy under the Civil Equality and Integration Policy.
The Reconciliation Ministry said the meeting featured Izabella Osipova, the Executive Secretary of the Council, and Koba Chopliani, the Coordinator of the Council, with the parties also reviewing matters of implementation, monitoring and evaluation of action plans.
Akhvlediani outlined the vision for future activities and presented the draft consolidated action plan for 2025-2026, with the plan aiming to “further improve target results in a phased manner”, the Ministry added.
The State Minister extended her gratitude to representatives of the Council for their “close and fruitful cooperation”, and highlighted their role in implementing and monitoring the state strategy.
On their part, representatives of the Council expressed their readiness to submit their recommendations on the draft plan to the State Minister’s Office.
