Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Sunday stressed the importance of visa-free travel with China, and further noted the Government's “priority” was to have “as many partner countries as possible”.
In his interview with Imedi TV, Darchiashvili noted the visa-free travel between the two states would be an “additional impetus” in bilateral relations.
“It serves the interests of our citizens. When it comes to economic cooperation, business relations, it is very important that our citizens do not have more barriers in terms of movement”, the Minister said.
The priority of the Government of Georgia was, is and will be to have as many partner countries as possible, to have as much cooperation as possible in bilateral formats with different countries”, he concluded.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze last month said citizens of Georgia would be able to visit China without a visa requirement.
