Tea Zakaradze, the General Manager of TAV Georgia, the company operating Tbilisi and Batumi airports, met with the representatives of major Asian airlines, such as Thai AirAsia X, Cathay Pacific, Scoot, Jeju Air and India Express, and discussed the launch of flights from Asia to Georgia.
At the meetings held on the sidelines of a large-scale aviation forum in Malaysia - Routes Asia 2024, Zakaradze briefed the top officials of the airlines about the “opportunities they will enjoy if flights start at Tbilisi and Batumi international airports”, highlighting the importance of direct flights, the TAV Georgia said on Thursday.
She also reviewed further cooperation with the representatives of the Indian-based GMR Goa International Airport Limited, a subsidiary of Asia’s “largest private airport operator” - GMR Airport Limited.
Routes Asia 2024 has been hosted in Malaysia from Tuesday to Thursday, with the top officials from the world's largest airlines, airports, aviation authorities and tourism sector participating in the forum.
