Georgian freestyle wrestlers have claimed four medals at the European Wrestling Championships, with Givi Matcharashvili becoming the European Champion for the second time in a row.

Matcharashvili defeated his Azerbaijani rival Magomedkhan Magomedov by 7:1 in the final of the 97 kg category of the tournament in Bucharest.

Georgian wrestler Akaki Kemertelidze won the silver medal, while Robert Dingashvili and Avtandil Kentchadze claimed the bronze medals in their respective weight categories of the championship.
