Levan Ioseliani, the Public Defender of Georgia, has applied to the National Bureau of Enforcement with a request to restrict evictions of residents who have lost their only housing during the winter.
The Public Defender’s Office announced the request, submitted to the Justice Ministry body, on Thursday.

The submission follows developments last month, when enforcement officers evicted a family from Kekelidze Street in the capital of Tbilisi for bank loan debt.
The actions led to clashes with protesters, with 20 individuals arrested by the police during the action.
