The Troika of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe - Malta, North Macedonia and Finland - on Monday published the end of year statement, reiterating their “strong support” to Georgia’s “sovereignty and territorial integrity”.

In a statement, the OSCE Troika noted the significance of the Geneva International Discussions, a platform facilitating talks between the Georgian Government and de facto authorities in the country’s Russian-occupied regions.

We reiterate our strong support to Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. We note the significance of the Geneva International Discussions and support the continued emphasis on the delivery of tangible results for conflict-affected communities, which was in focus in 2024. We remain committed to sustaining established efforts and initiatives, including the work of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms”, the statement said.

The OSCE Troika was invented at the Helsinki Summit in 1992 to bring an element of continuity to the OSCE's leadership. It is a format of co-operation between the present, previous and succeeding Chairmanships.
