Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, on Monday met Kreso Antonio Paliska, the Senior Vice President of the American Accreditation Commission International, a body involved in provision of healthcare organisation accreditation and clinical excellence certification services, to discuss reforms of the sector in the country.
The Ministry said Paliska highlighted “significant changes” made in Georgia's hospital sector, which he noted had “increased the quality of service and trust”.
Sarjveladze emphasised that cooperation with the AACI and its experts would further enhance Georgia’s hospital sector, and noted protecting the “right to health of each patient” and providing “medical services tailored to their needs” represented the Ministry’s “priority”.
The Minister added partnership with the international accreditation body would “significantly support” this objective, as the meeting also covered future plans and prospects for cooperation between the sides.
