Professionals from Georgia’s domestic information technology, human resources, training and finance sectors on Friday joined protesters in a march in Tbilisi against the Government's suspension of European Union accession negotiations.

The protesters are marching in the city and demanding release of citizens detained during previous days of protests.

PR and marketing specialists from various companies, as well as professionals from creative groups, students, artists, designers, music industry professionals, and startup founders, are also marching in separate groups in protest in Tbilisi.

The rallies have been ongoing since November 28, when Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced postponement of the EU accession talks until 2028.

Police crews were reported to be monitoring the protests.

Meanwhile, Tbilisi City Hall is preparing a stage near the Parliament building in central Tbilisi, before the planned lighting of the main Christmas tree on Saturday.
