Georgia’s main Christmas tree will light up on Saturday in central Tbilisi in front of the Parliament building at 7:00 pm, the Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said on Thursday.
Kaladze noted the installation of illuminations for the festive season on Rustaveli Avenue would begin a bit later, adding illuminations had already been installed on all central avenues.
“I would like to tell you that Tbilisi will be the most magical, the most beautifully decorated city for the New Year, where people, our children will have a feeling of happiness and joy, where children will have a real celebration and fun”, the Tbilisi Mayor said in his video message.
Kaladze also urged citizens to attend the lighting-up event on Saturday.
