The 25th Tbilisi International Film Festival will kick off on Sunday at the Amirani Cinema theatre of Georgia’s capital city with a screening of Holy Electricity, a short/feature by Georgian director Kote Kotetishvili, the Festival said on Tuesday.
Organisers noted the Festival would run over eight days, screening five features , 15 shorts films, six feature documentaries and nine short documentaries.
It will also feature five student films in a non-competitive programme.
The Delegation of the European Union to Georgia has set two awards at the Festival with the category of Human Rights in Cinema, comprising documentary and feature films addressing human rights.
The annual Festival will be attended by around 30 cinematographers, directors, producers and international film festival representatives from France, Germany, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina and more.
Winners will be revealed in the award ceremony on December 7.
