Georgian opposition parties to hold rally in Tbilisi, to unveil action plan

Three Georgian opposition parties and alliances that surpassed the five-percent election threshold in Saturday’s parliamentary vote will hold a protest rally in the capital city of Tbilisi on Monday, Ana Dolidze, one of the leaders of the opposition party Strong Georgia said on Thursday.

“We will gather on Rustaveli Avenue, on Monday, at 7 pm and will inform you about our action plan in detail, how our protest will continue under the law, legally, peacefully, but in an organised manner", Dolidze said at a press briefing.

Before the announcement of the planned rally, the representatives of the three opposition parties Coalition for Change, Strong Georgia, and Unity – United National Movement held a meeting to discuss future plans, which was not attended by the members of the For Georgia party, led by former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.
