Georgian Parliament official, OSCE/ODIHR monitoring mission review electoral process ahead of Saturday vote

Maka Botchorishvili, the Chair of the European Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament, on Friday discussed the electoral process in the country ahead of Saturday’s parliamentary elections with the monitoring mission of the Organisation for Security and Co-Operation in Europe Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

Botchorishvili told the media the meeting focused on the ongoing election campaigning.

“Of course, we reviewed the electoral process, how the pre-election campaign is going, the political situation in Georgia, the main agenda of the political parties and in general our expectations regarding the elections”, the Parliament official said.

The OSCE/ODIHR mission also met  with the Prime Minister of the country, the Chair of the Central Election Commission, the Head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau and opposition parties.
