Election administration receives lists from 19 political unions ahead of voting

Nineteen election subjects have filed their party lists to the Chair of the Central Election Commission of Georgia ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 26, the CEC said on Friday.

The Commission noted it had commenced essential procedures for examination and registration of the lists.

The deadline for registering the party lists is October 6. Only one political party list of an election subject - European Socialists - is registered for the time being. Accordingly, 18 election subjects are subject to registration procedures at present”, the statement said.

The administration had also enabled parties to electronically submit their lists for the upcoming elections.

The subjects that have submitted their party lists are Georgia, Gakharia for Georgia, Our United Georgia, Georgian Labour Party , Social Democratic Party of Georgia, Left Alliance, Free Georgia, Tribuna, Change Georgia, We, Georgian’s Unity, the Party of Georgian Unity and Development, Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia, Girchi, Alliance of Patriots of Georgia, Strong Georgia - Lelo, for People, for Liberty!, Unity - National Movement, Coalition for Change Gvaramia Melia Girchi Droa, and European Democrats.
