Natia Turnava, the Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, and Zhou Qian, the Ambassador of China to the country, on Wednesday highlighted their “strong” cooperation with a focus on enhancing future collaborations in the development of payment systems and financial services between the two countries.

Turnava highlighted the NBG's commitment to improving processes and diversifying operations, while actively engaging with central banks from various countries. She also announced plans to organise future meetings between representatives of the NBG and the Central Bank of China to deepen cooperation and address mutual interests.

The meeting also included Ekaterine Galdava, the NBG Vice Governor, Aleksandre Khazaradze, the Head of Financial Markets Department of the body, and Giorgi Edilashvili, the Head of the International Relations Department of the institution.
