Ruling party presents delegates to run election campaign in Tbilisi

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who leads the electoral office of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday introduced delegates to run its campaign in the capital city of Tbilisi ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 26.

Kobakhidze noted the ruling party had introduced 22 delegates last week, who would lead the election campaign in various regions of the country.

Giorgi Volski, the First Vice Speaker of the Parliament, MP Davit Kacharava, Zuka Rurua, the former captain of the Georgian national water polo team, Akaki Aladashvili, a member of the Tbilisi City Council and Vice-President of the Georgian Football Federation, Irakli Kheladze, a member of the Tbilisi City Council, Lado Bozhadze, a member of the Tbilisi City Council, Nika Elisashvili, the head of Tbilisi’s Isani district, and Varlam Liparteliani, an Olympic vice champion in Judo, will lead the party’s campaign in Tbilisi.

Kobakhidze added all delegates would be represented in the proportional list of the party and stressed “every city and region” would have a representative in the Parliament.
