Interior Minister lays wreaths at memorial of police officers killed in 2008 war on 16th anniversary

Georgian Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri on Thursday laid wreaths at the memorial of police officers killed in the 2008 war between Russia and Georgia, as part of events commemorating the 16th anniversary of the conflict.

The Ministry said Gomelauri, together with deputy interior ministers and heads of departments of the body, paid tribute to those who “sacrificed themselves in service of the homeland” during the 2008 war.
