Exports of Georgian peaches and nectarines amounted to 17.9 thousand tonnes between May and August 6, totalling $20.7 million, the Ministry of Agriculture announced on Wednesday.
The Ministry said the volume of exported tangerines had increased by 647 thousand tonnes - a four percent rise compared to the same period of last year, while the income grew by $1.9 million.
The body last month said the price of peaches had increased and amounted to $1.14 per kilogram.
It also added Georgia had exported 170 thousand tonnes of peaches and nectarines over the last 10 years, with the income received from exports reaching $154 million.
