Tea Akhvlediani, Georgia’s State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, on Monday presented an online information portal for conflict-affected citizens living in the Russian-occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) regions of the country.

Set to launch next month, the website will be used by the communities to receive services and benefits related to healthcare, education, business development, civic services and other areas.

Taking care of the citizens living in the regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali and improving their social and economic situation remains one of the main dimensions of the peace policy of the Government of Georgia and its unchanging priority”, Akhvlediani said.

Created on the initiative of the Office of the State Minister, the project for the portal saw involvement of other ministries and civil society and support by international partners, the Office noted.

The website is offered in Georgian, English, Abkhaz and Ossetian languages.
