Georgian Deputy Economy Minister Vakhtang Tsintsadze on Friday said exports from the country had reached a “record high” figure of six percent and $582.1 million in the month of June.
The Ministry cited Tsintsadze as saying local exports increased by 11 percent compared to June 2023 and amounted to $270.2 million.
Tsintsadze also noted exports were “quite diversified”, with growth observed in agricultural products, clothing and textile products, ferroalloys and other industrial products.
He also said his office was taking a “number of important steps” to increase the competitiveness of export of local production and “actively” working to ensure export diversification through state support programmes.
