Georgian wine exports to US, Europe have “significantly increased”, National Wine Agency says

Georgia has exported 54.5 million litres of wine worth $156.7 mln to 61 countries in the first six months of 2024, marking a “significant increase” of the exports to the United States and Europe, the National Wine Agency said on Monday.

The Agency added the figure also marked a 26 percent increase over the same period of 2023, while revenues had increased by 24 percent.

Exports to Poland have increased by 19 percent, to the US by 53 percent, to Germany by 34 percent, to the United Kingdom by 28 percent, to Canada by 110 percent and to Turkey by 47 percent.

The body also said the country had exported 23.4 mln alcoholic beverages to 45 countries, marking a 55 percent increase over the same period of 2023, with revenues from the exports reaching about $132.8 mln, or a 59 percent rise.
