The Georgian Economy Ministry on Wednesday rejected TV reports, which alleged that China Communications Construction Company Limited - a company supposed to be the Georgian Government’s private partner for the Anaklia port project - was under international sanctions, and said no sanctions were applied to the company.

If the Chinese consortium wins the tender announced by the Government for the construction of the Anaklia port, the company will be able to participate in the implementation of the project, the Ministry noted.

Earlier today, Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili announced that China Communications Construction Company Limited would be announced as the Georgian Government’s private partner for the Anaklia port project “in the coming days”.
