Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and MPs from the ruling Georgian Dream party on Monday discussed the veto on the domestic law on transparency of foreign influence by the country’s President Salome Zourabichvili at a session held in the central office of the party, the GD press office said.
The meeting also reviewed matters to be discussed at the Parliament's plenary sessions during the ongoing session week, including the party’s plans for overcoming the veto and amendments to the domestic tax code related to asset transfers from countries with preferential taxation to Georgia.
The press office said the topics also included bills related to the nine conditions set out by the European Commission in November for opening European Union accession talks with the country, including amendments to the laws on general courts and personal data protection, the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Special Investigation Service.
Otar Shamugia, the country’s Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Health Minister, and Levan Davitashvili, the Economy Minister, will present their reports to the Parliament, it added.
