Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday said he was “honoured” to host the 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Tbilisi, “a pivotal gathering focused on building a sustainable and inclusive future”.
In his social media post, Kobakhidze stressed Georgia was committed to “fostering global cooperation and driving positive change”.
The PM noted he was “delighted” to welcome delegates of the ADB meeting to discuss pathways for sustainable development, emphasising resilience and equity.
Earlier today, the Head of the Government addressed the guests of the event, by saying the main theme of the meeting - Bridge to the Future “best reflects the course of Georgia”.
Georgia’s capital Tbilisi is hosting the ADB annual meeting with nearly 70 events covering connectivity, climate change, capital market development, artificial intelligence and green globalisation.
Running between Thursday and Sunday, the four-day event includes about 3,000 delegates from ADB senior management, policymakers, private sector representatives, and “leading development thinkers” from Asia and the Pacific.
