The Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia on Friday said its professionals had detained one individual for sale of forged money in capital Tbilisi.
The body said the investigation had found the individual sold forged bills of $100 and €600 in the amount of $21,400.
It added the counterfeited bills used in the activity were seized, adding the investigation was ongoing.
The crime is punishable by imprisonment between seven and 10 years.
The State Security Service on Thursday said its professionals had charged one individual for commercial bribery.
Georgia’s Interior Ministry on Thursday said one individual had been arrested on charges of facilitating “unpermitted access to computer systems” of Georgian telecommunications provider Silknet and acquisition of personal data of citizens.
The State Security Service of Georgia on Friday said its professionals had charged two individuals and arrested the former Deputy Head of the hospitalisation shift of the Emergency Response Coordination and Urgent Assistance Centre under the Health Ministry, as well as two former managers of the Centre, for bribery.
Officers of Georgia’s Anti-Corruption Agency on Monday detained employees of the City Hall of the western municipality of Tsalenjikha and charged them with bribery.
